Quick Fixes
If the Spinach bot didn't join your meeting, try these steps in order:
Use the Rejoin button: Go to Future Meetings in your dashboard and click the Rejoin button next to the meeting you're currently in. Spinach should attempt to join within 1-2 minutes.
Use "Join Live": If Rejoin doesn't work, click Join Live — this directly sends the bot to your meeting and overrides any syncing issues.
Check the waiting room: On some platforms (especially Zoom and Teams), Spinach may be waiting in the lobby. Look for "Spinach AI" in the waiting room and admit it.
Verify calendar sync: Make sure the meeting appears in your Future Meetings tab with Spinach toggled on. If you don't see it, your calendar may need to be re-synced.
Rejoin Button Spinning or Not Working
If the Rejoin button spins but nothing happens:
Try "Join Live" instead — this is the most reliable fallback and will send a fresh bot to your meeting.
Refresh your dashboard and try again — sometimes the connection needs a fresh session.
Check that the meeting is still active — Rejoin only works while the meeting is in progress.
If this is happening repeatedly, let us know via support chat — there may be a platform-specific issue we can investigate.
Bot Joining Late or Missing the Start
Spinach normally joins 2 minutes before the scheduled meeting time. If it's joining late or not at all:
Calendar sync delay: If the meeting was recently added or modified, it can take a few minutes for Spinach to detect the change. For last-minute meetings, use "Join Live" to ensure immediate attendance.
Platform-specific delays: Microsoft Teams meetings sometimes experience brief syncing delays. If this happens regularly, try disconnecting and reconnecting your calendar from Settings.
Multiple calendar connections: If you have both Google and Microsoft calendars connected, ensure the meeting is on the calendar that Spinach is synced with.
Spinach Still Joining Canceled or Removed Meetings
If a recurring meeting was canceled but Spinach keeps trying to join:
Go to Future Meetings and toggle Spinach off for that meeting series.
If the meeting doesn't appear in your dashboard but Spinach still joins, contact support — we can manually remove the recurring meeting from the Spinach schedule.
Disconnect and Reconnect Calendar (Nuclear Option)
If you're experiencing persistent join issues across multiple meetings:
Go to Settings > Integrations
Disconnect your calendar
Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect it
Your meeting schedule will re-sync within a few minutes
This resolves most persistent syncing issues. Your meeting history and settings are preserved.
