Changing or Upgrading Your Plan

How to upgrade, downgrade, or switch your Spinach plan — what's self-serve and when to contact support

Upgrading Your Plan

You can upgrade to a Business plan directly from your dashboard:

  1. Go to your Account tab

  2. Click Upgrade

  3. Select your plan and complete checkout

Your new features will be available immediately after checkout.

Note on work email requirements: The Pro plan requires a work domain — public email addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) are not eligible. If your company doesn't have a domain yet, you can purchase a single seat of the Business plan instead, which works with any email. Business plan pricing is $19/user/month (annual) or $29/user/month (monthly).

If the upgrade button isn't working or appears greyed out, try refreshing the page or signing out and back in. If it's still not working, reach out to us via support chat and we'll help get you set up.

Downgrading Your Plan

Plan downgrades are not available as self-service in the dashboard — the Account tab only shows options to upgrade or delete your account.

To downgrade your plan, contact our support team via the chat widget on app.spinach.ai or email [email protected]. Let us know which plan you'd like to switch to and we'll take care of it.

When we process a downgrade, you'll keep your current plan features until the end of your billing period, then the new plan kicks in on your next billing date.

Available Plans

  • Free — Get started with Spinach on a limited number of meetings per month.

  • Pro — Pay-as-you-go at $2.90 per meeting hour with unlimited users. If you don't use Spinach in a month, it's $0. Requires a work email domain.

  • Business — $19/user/month (annual) or $29/user/month (monthly). Includes team seats, shared settings, and admin controls. Works with any email.

  • Enterprise — Advanced security, custom branding, SSO, and dedicated support. Learn more about Enterprise features.

Common Questions

  • Can I switch from monthly to annual billing?

    Contact our support team via chat and we can switch your billing cycle. Annual plans offer a discount.

  • Will I lose my data if I downgrade?

    No. Your meeting history, summaries, and transcripts are preserved. You'll lose access to paid features (like summary editing and recipient controls), but your data stays in your account.

  • I'm on a paid plan but the app shows "upgrade" everywhere

    This is usually a display issue caused by a billing system mismatch. Contact our support team and we can fix it — it's typically resolved quickly.

  • Will I be charged automatically after my trial ends?

    No. When your trial ends, your account reverts to the free plan. You won't be charged unless you actively choose to upgrade.
