How to use Spinach on a long meeting or day-long event

Spinach can only record a single meeting that is up to 4 hours long. So if you are planning a longer meeting, or would like Spinach to join day-long sessions, here are tips on how to achieve the best results!

  1. Divide up the calendar event into multiple segments (hey perfect time for a break right?)

  2. Use the same meeting link for all of the calendar segments.

  3. Make sure all guests are added to each calendar segment and Spinach is added to each.

  4. With this set up, you now join the video link at the beginning, and can stay on for the entire duration. Spinach will record each segment and send out summaries per segment.

  5. Between each calendar segment, Spinach will leave and a new instance of Spinach will join.

If you didn't plan for a meeting to go longer than 4 hours and you want Spinach to continue recording, quickly add a new event on the calendar with the same video link and invite Spinach. The new Spinach instance will join in 1-2 minutes. Details here.
